Gypsy Water opens with a bright citrus accord led by lemon, tempered nicely with the darker bergamot that follows. Crisp, aromatic juniper emerges, making for a deeply refreshing and rejuvenating opening.
A hint of smokiness is evident in the background thanks to the incense note. Too restrained to be churchy, it is very subtle adding to the soft balsamic amber in the base. It´s perfectly sensual without being obnoxious or too in your face.
It becomes the aforementioned soft lemon-vanilla scent as it begins to dry down, and the pine fades from view. A hint of soft woodiness complements the vanilla, and it fades to a soft musky-vanilla skin scent with a faint touch of sweet amber. Sillage is intimate and longevity is moderate. Pleasant and easy to wear despite being unusual, Gypsy Water is an interesting unisex scent, best worn on warm days.
This is a highly intriguing, evocative scent that blends citric freshness with incense-musk serenity. The opening is a lovely, fresh-pine bergamot that is simply gorgeous on the skin, so warm and attractive. Ever present behind this are the incense and the musk – they are very soft, however, and almost work to bring out the piney citric tones rather than seeking to dominate themselves. This is a truly sensuous, highly elegant perfume that just screams class. It’s not loud or shouty – sophistication never needs to be – and will give you the feeling that you have money, even if you don’t!

This fragrance is so good. Lasts on clothes for a few days. Not so much on a skin but the original one either and it’s much more expensive,so …. Win win. Definitely will pop in to the shop and buy a big size this time

I got sent this by mistake but I’m glad I did because I actually like it. I’m not usually a fan of citrusy, fresh sort of scents but I find this to be like a slice of lemon drizzle cake with incense and pine. It opens up with sweet lemon, then seems like it’s gonna go into a sort of men’s aftershave scent but then settles into a totally unisex base of vanilla, amber and sandalwood with the lemon and incense still present with a touch of powdery orris. I don’t know what it’s like for longevity yet as I haven’t given it a wear test but the original is said to not perform great anyway so if anything this will probably last longer. Will definitely wear this in summer.
