The Duchess; she is the essence of rose. The first sharp tang of the petals mixed with the bright green of the freshly cut stem. Goes on rose, stays rose but with a green freshness that is wicked and keeps on delivering. The initial whiff is naïve, yet it quickly becomes seductive. She’s sweet, yet spicy. Fresh and breezy, yet rich and warm… She’s an enchanting paradox in a bottle. But damn she’s unreachable. That’s my last Duchess painted on the wall. Looking as if she were still alive. She had a heart – how shall I say? -Too soon made glad! Oh, sir, she smiled, no doubt Whene’er I passed her but who passed without much the same smile? This grew; I gave commands. Then all smiles stopped together – My Last Duchess, Robert Browning.

A year or so ago I splashed out and bought myself the Coveted Duchess Rose by Penhaligons and it was love at first spritz. I think it made my eyes roll back in my head. Anyways, it’s in-SANELY expensive (@£215) so buying another bottle wasn’t possible for me. Needless to say I was very happy to see that Eden have made a scent based on it… I don’t know how you guys do it but it’s bang on 👌. The longevity is not great but I found a spritz on the skin and one on the clothes (plus another later in the day) did the trick.
If you love musky rosey woody scents with a bit of mandarin citrus thrown in, you will love this ❤️

A continuation of the above review:
The longevity is actually very good! With some sprayed on skin and some on clothes it actually lasts and lasts. I am really impressed. Thank you Eden, I will be buying a refill!

I was so happy to see my favourite perfume duped. However, it isn’t a patch on the original.. The sandlewood and complex musk that the original base note has just isn’t there in this copy. Keep trying Eden as I would really love a good dupe
