This is much sweeter and simpler than the original. The opening is somewhat similar to Black Orchid but as it dries down it very soon turns so sweet, like milk chocolate, and chocolate was never one of the notes I could smell in the original, which just becomes more smooth in the dry down but never sweet… Luckily when I spray this one on clothes it doesn’t turn as sweet as it does on skin. It’s a pleasant inspired perfume but in this case, it’s distinctly different and certainly can’t be mistaken for the Tom Ford original. It lacks that cold, bold, complex, and edgy character of Black Orchid and is probably more crowd-pleasing than the Tom Ford because of the sweetness.
