Our Interpretation of Mugler Alien Goddess Perfume is a light and decadent coconut sun-tan lotion, just sat on the beach for hours, sea salt in my hair type of vibe, but in a sophisticated and classy way. It’s a Millennial fragrance, more millennial than Ariana Grande. The fresh powderiness of jasmine and heliotrope balances out the creaminess of the coconut and vanilla notes, keeping the scent from veering into sticky, cloying territory. Alien Goddess has moderate projection up to the 5 hour mark, and then settles down into a skin scent for the remainder of its wear. The coconut water note lingers into the dry down, so if you don’t like the scent of coconut I would steer clear of this fragrance. This smells truly like a goddess! it also smells great not only in the summer, but actually deep gourmand enough to work in the winter as well.

(Blind buy here.) I usually don’t go for bright/tropical scents, but I’d never had a coconut perfume, so I gave this a try. Plays really nicely with skin chemistry! Where it verges on cloying, it eludes into whisps of nautical powder notes–perhaps like the alien goddess herself! I like to wear this if I’ll be outside some since the silage ebbs and flows. Yes, there is the dominant “sun-tan lotion” aroma, but it dries down into a wearing-linen-in-the-breeze skin-scent.
