What mature women smelled like in the 1980’s. The opening is fresh and powerful with the distinct aroma of aldehydes. The lemon note really boosts the aldehydic notes, creating a refreshing fresh out of the shower type of feel. The floral heart reveals a bouquet of roses, geranium, gardenia, jasmine, lily of the valley, ylang-ylang and iris. Because of that rose and iris partnership, the perfume’s middle stage is softer and less sparkling. It’s as soft as powder or a tad soapy, like floral scented bath products. The dry down stage is a showy oak moss, and there’s also musk. All the notes down in the depths of the base can be detected but moss, musk and vetiver are the strongest accords. They help to prolong the life of this perfume – it’s on you for almost 24 hours in one day. This is great for those who like aldehydic scents that aren’t quite so strong as older classics.
