No.169 Pure Exess Men – Aromatic Spicy Men’s

5.00 (2)

This is a powerful, nutty and slightly petrol-y scent. It’s unquestionably masculine and made for those who have the heart of a lion. The scent opens with notes of liquor, that blend in with a heap of herbs, spices, ginger, thyme, cinnamon and vanilla. Myrrh and cedarwood in the base ensure that the fragrance lasts throughout the day into the night. It could definitely be said that this perfume is more suited for the evenings than the day. There’s no need to be excessive with this one as the name suggests. Just a few sprays will be enough to set you up good and proper.

I got a sample along with with Red Pollo and Bottled Boss. They’re all close cousins but I think this one’s the tearaway delinquent. The opening is dominated by that rather obscene and outrageous petrol-note which, thankfully, mellows with the dry-down into a moreish and intoxicating sweet liquor with a side-serving of nuttiness. That edge of the disreputable never completely fades though, making this one a bit of a naughty treat.

Smells exactly like the original version and will definitely be buying a full 100ml bottle once I run out
