No.612 Duchess of Rose - Oriental Floral Women's
The Duchess; she is the essence of rose. The first sharp tang of the petals mixed with the bright green of the freshly cut stem. Goes on rose, stays rose but with a green freshness that is wicked and keeps on delivering. The initial whiff is naive, yet it quickly becomes seductive. She's sweet, yet spicy. Fresh and breezy, yet rich and warm... She's an enchanting paradox in a bottle. But damn she's unreachable. That's my last Duchess painted on the wall.
Looking as if she were still alive
She had a heart - how shall I say? -
Too soon made glad!
Oh, sir, she smiled, no doubt
Whene’er I passed her but who passed without
Much the same smile? This grew; I gave commands
Then all smiles stopped together
- My Last Duchess, Robert Browning.
